Special Thanks to Jo Anne Hume and the staff and volunteers from the Saratoga EOC for being so hospitable for our recent filming of a new tv episode (coming soon). We were so pleased to to highlight their efforts to feed and support the Saratoga community, particularly during the Covid-19 virus epidemic. Undoubtedly, the recent outbreak of Coronavirus disease (COVID-19) has caused harm to many people, both in terms of physical health and economically. Population groups such as the poor, older people, people with disabilities, people experiencing homelessness, and other vulnerable groups are being disproportionately harmed by a COVID-19 pandemic and suffering from lack of access to healthcare, basic infrastructure such as housing, and food resources.
With a huge increase in people seeking assistance and just food to feed their families, the Saratoga EOC has worked endlessly to help those in need. The hardest part, they say, is listening and addressing the underlying issues that seem to be spiraling out of control in some Saratoga neighborhoods. Stay tuned for their latest heartfelt episode and more ways on how to help them directly
